This is one console I’m trying to collect for. Even sense my mother got me this console in 2004. I’m pushing 62 for the I got the wave birds I just got Viewtiful Joe 2 👍. Do a let’s play of Marry Kate and Ashely Sweet 16.
The Gamecube is one of the systems I bought new at launch, at the time specifically to get the Star Wars Rogue Squadron II game, but of course it also came with Luigi's Mansion. Loved the Star Wars game (and then bought every Star Wars game that came out for it), but Luigi's Mansion was placed by everyone and completed by everyone in the household.
One of the only systems I have all my original games, I haven't added a huge number of games since, but have found some quite playable titles, including Ikaruga, Mario Sunshine and even the James Bond games were heaps of fun.
Super Smash Bros Melee - Luigi's Mansion - Paper Mario "The Thousand year door" - Mario Kart "Double Dash" - Super Mario Sunshine - Animal Crossing - Mario Golf "Toadstool Tour" - Mario Party games, etc... The GameBoy Player! Love the GameCube!
He has more Gamecube games than I have games!
And I´ve been "collecting" since the 90s for a bunch of systems.
I have the Gamecube games that matter though. Baten Kaitos is a favorite for sure, and F Zero.
LOL--"He collects bikes; metal bikes." LOLVery impressive collection! Honestly, I easily forget that there were so many games for the GameCube! I knew of some of those big boxes as well, but I guess there's a couple more I need to keep an eye out for.
Good call on the Mario sports games--they really do make things so much more fun!Still waiting to get together a willing set of friends to go through both FF: CC and Zelda: Four Swords!
Love your show, my favourite games on the GameCube are StarFox Adventure (I don’t why the dislike for it), Smash.
I know they multi platform games but I love playing Blood Omen 2, Need for speed underground 1 & 2 and my favourite game on the GameCube 007 Nightfire.
Unpopular opinion but I think Nightfire is far better that goldeneye.
Guys, everybody knows that Gamecube is the new blue!!! Yes, with its complex library of rare to fun and uniquely delightful games, playing all Gamecube games on a Wii is sooo much easier than cooking salmon fishcakes using mashed potatoes. As a wise man once said, "Life is good when video games are compared to food."
i feel that the gamecube is underrated. awesome console with some awesome games. also, i bought mine on launch day. got a black gamecube with luigi's mansion. ya can't go wrong with that. now here's my current collection of games for it.
1. luigi's mansion
2. wario world
3. tony hawk's pro skater 3
4. super smash bros melee
5. animal crossing
6. metroid prime
8. burnout 2: point of impact(one of my favorite racing games)
9. simpsons road rage(basically simpsons version of crazy taxi)
10. smuggler's run: warzones
11. resident evil 4
12. super mario sunshine
13. paper mario: the thousand year door
14. viewtiful joe
One thing I've noticed from the video is probably to not listen to Mort reviews on games for me personally, not in a bad way at all. I couldn't believe how much of a difference there was in our tastes in games. It was nice to see a different top 10 from the normal "overrated" stuff get their 15 minutes of fame.
Yeah, that's one thing I enjoy about these videos is just seeing what appeals to each type of gamer. I think our interests reveal something about our personalities. What are your Gamecube favorites Scott?
I actually have a fun set up for Gamecube: I bought the HDMI adapter for the main system. No looking back - It's amazing what it does to the games. I also have a gamecube hooked up to the CRT via S Video, and a Wii that has an HDMI converter. It looks great no matter which way you go.
I have been a mostly silent viewer until your live stream yesterday. I love your content, and I love that you make it about the community. I hope to meet you guys someday. Hello from the Pacific northwest!
Yup, 3 kids, all the same age. Tremendous blessing to be sure. My wife is ever patient and gives me space to relax time and again. I don't play all that much anymore due to the time, but it still works out.
Thumbs up for Alien Hominid! Love that game, have it on PS2. The mini games on the disk were also just as fun! One of them called "PDA Games" was also a very early version of Battleblock Theater from the same creators.
Thank you for putting Mario Strikers on the list!!!! Don't forget Soul Caliber 2 w/ Link!!! So many hours playing that game...
Other great GC games:
MGS: Twin Snakes
Resident Evil 4
Windwaker (I always loved the art style)
Twilight Princess (yes! Play it on GC!!)
Thanks for another great video, I've really come to looking forward to these week after week. Keep it up!
Cool episode about the Gamecube, once again with the mighty Mort 😊 after the N64 I quit buying consoles, but I never sold my old stuff and shifting more to music/guitars. When my neighbors then had a Wii, that got me back into gaming and collecting, that was the first time I also played Gamecube games.
+MortGuffmanit's always cool to see more and more of your big collection in the episodes. A few years ago I finally bought Gamecube, mainly to play my Gameboy Advance games on the TV with the Gameboy Player and I also started to buy more Gamecube games. Have a nice weekend 😊

I felt after snes gamecube was nintendos best console with at the time the best exclusives especially with the horror games. Back then gamecube was my fav 6th gen console. Now its my 2nd fav cause x box has steller performing 6th gen multiplats but exclusives man gamecube killed it . ps2 aged pretty poorly and seldom go back to it vs the other 2 consoles
I always love seeing gamecube videos. Its my favorite console and I am proud to say I have the entire north american set. So many great titles on that little box.
If you are ever in canada and want to come see the set + variants and more drop me a line.
Great video Aaron. This video makes me extremely sad. I had over 430 GameCube games. Now I am lucky if I have 25. GameCube is one of my favorite systems. I lost my collection in a house fire. I had all the good games as well. All gone. Turned into ashes. So sad
OMG THANK YOU!! I have been getting into the Gamecube the past 2 or 3 months & its so hard to find games I know I am going to like. I never had a gamecube when I was younger because I didnt like the controller. Great video as always dudesickles <3 lol
Gah! So much awesome awesomeness from awesometown!!!!!
Just look at that! Would you just look at that!!
The game cube and like Wii U seem like attainable goals. Video Vic has a copy of Cubivore. So we’ve seen one.
This was much fun! Im going to enjoy this video several times like usual. Thanks guys!
To the east is the entrance area to the vault. In order to open it, you have to work out how to open all of the doors at once. One of the instructions will open a door without closing any. This must be the last key you press. Now, find a way to open a door that closes only the doors you will open later. And continue until all of the doors are open.
One solution is "NILBOG". (Many other solutions are possible; this one has the advantage of spelling something interesting when reversed.) Each key opens a door while not closing any of the doors you have already opened.
Pushing the Mainentance button (M), will teleport you to caves underneath the castle. When you leave this area, it will open up a new door to the east of the entrance room.
At the very first intersection, to the right is a room. A chest in that room contains the candelabrum needed to solve quest 3.
Continuing down the corridor into the caverns, you will come to a room containing a chest in the middle of the room and a Spark spell containstly bashing down onto it. You can empty the chest by timing you steps correctly. Be careful, as the Spark spell seems to be a master level spark.
The next room and then north leads to where Angela is trapped. She will join your party automatically and you can return her to town to solve quest 6.
Further west and then back east, and then to the end of the passage is a teleporter that returns you to the room south of where you found Angela.
If you instead go further west is the lair of some cobras. You can find several cobra eggs scattered around this room.
To the south is the lair of the Queen of the Spiders. Kill her and you will find her heart. This will satisfy quest 4. There is also a teleporter here that will return you to the starting room.
